SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn.(WVLT)--An eight month undercover drug investigation leads to the arrest of more than 25 people in Sevier County.

Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals says 29 people have been taken into custody as a result of "Operation Pillpusher."

The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit is made up of officers from several departments. They hit the streets at 6:00am Thursday morning and arrested the drug suspects in all parts of the county.

29 people have been arrested so far today and officers are still looking for several more.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Smokey Mtn. U.S. Marshal’s Task Force and Sevier County Constables during the round-up.
