KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Police are still searching for the man who robbed a north Knoxville convenient store late Tuesday evening. Indu Sai Convenient Store was robbed at gunpoint around 8:00 p.m., according to the Knoxville Police Dept.
Initial reports indicate the suspect entered the shop carrying a small, black handgun and violently shoved a woman who worked there before jumping onto the counter.
Once atop the counter, he pointed the gun at employees and demanded one of them open the register. Hopping down, he grabbed the cash out of the resister while still threatening the workers. He allegedly shouted "Don't move or I'll shoot" several times.
After getting the money, he took off out of the store and toward Washington Pike.
The suspect was described as a black man, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, black pants and shoes, and a blue cloth over the lower half of his face. He stands about 6' tell and weighs around 250 lbs.
