UPDATE: Crimetracker: Shooting investigation in Campbell County

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A man was flown to U.T. Medical Center after a shooting in Campbell County.

It happened around 6:00 PM on Back Valley Road, just outside LaFollette.

The Campbell County Sheriff's Office say 80-year-old Denvin Miller is accused of shooting 51-year-old Merle Ivey.

A brief standoff occurred when deputies arrived, but Miller eventually surrendered.

Investigators say he was taken into investigative custody, where he was questioned and released pending further investigation and an interview with Ivey.

Ivey had surgery and is in critical, but stable condition.
