Crimetracker: Suspect arrested in 19 year-old slaying

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Nearly two decades later, authorities think they have their man.

The Knox Co. Sheriff's Office have arrested David Dwayne Hopkins in connection with the 1994 slaying of a Knoxville man. He has been charged with Felony Murder and Especially Aggravated Battery.

Hopkins is accused of killing George Anthony (Tony) Barrett. In July 1994, Barrett's sister found him dead in his home on Western Ave.

His trial date is set for September 30.
