KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Knoxville man threatened to go on a "rampage" as soon as he was back on the street after being arrested on multiple drug and weapons charges, according to the Knoxville Police Dept. Rodney Harris reportedly targeted his threats specifically at the officers.

Harris was arrested on Tuesday when members of KPD's Repeat Offender Squad, acting on reports of crack cocaine being sold there, searched his home on Churchill Ave. According to KPD spokesperson Darrell DeBusk, officers found about 22 grams of crack and a Smith and Wesson handgun in the home as well as more than $3,000 in cash.

Harris was sitting in a car in front of the home at the time he was arrested. A search of that vehicle turned up another .45 caliber handgun.

While investigators were there, they began to suspect Harris was also controlling the house next door, so they obtained another search warrant for that home and discovered a third gun.

DeBusk said Harris will face multiple state charges including Drug Free School Zone for possessing with intent to distribute cocaine within a 1000 feet of a daycare and Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Dangerous Felony. Also, he is expected to face federal charges for being a felon in possession of a handgun.
