Crimetracker: Telford man pleads guilty to making steroids

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Telford man faces up to 10 years behind bars and a half-million dollar fine after pleading guilty to distributing anabolic steroids illegally. Freddie Sergent, 30, is set to be sentenced on August 12, 2013.

According to the Dept. of Justice, Sergent would get raw steroid powders and other materials shipped to from China and other places and process them into vials which he sold mainly in east Tennessee.

He was captured after a shipment on its way to Michigan was intercepted in March 2012. The next month, his home was raided and agents reportedly found steroids and paraphernalia as well as three guns.
