The Alcoa Police Department has arrested two suspects linked to an armed robbery that occurred early Sunday morning.
Jerrell Bledsoe, 19, and Jelyn Haley, 19, are both charged with Aggravated Robbery in connection with a hold up at the McDonald's on Old Knoxville Highway in Alcoa.
The manager of the restaurant told officers that while he was walking to his car with the deposit, a man pointed a handgun the victim and demanded the money.
The subject’s handgun fired and struck the boot of the manager. The manager was not hurt in the incident.
Detectives responded to the incident, and further investigation revealed that Haley and Bledsoe were involved in the robbery and were placed into custody Friday.
