Crimetracker: Victim dies in overnight East Knoxville shooting

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Investigators are interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence related to a deadly overnight shooting in east Knoxville early Wednesday morning.

Officers found the victim when responding to a disturbance call in the 300 block of Bell St. around 12:45 a.m. He was taken to UT's Emergency Room where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they will not release his name until the family has been notified.
