KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The victim in a late night stabbing at an East Knoxville hotel told police a drunken argument led to the attack.
According to the Knoxville Police Dept., the victim, Bradley Sewell, claimed he dropped by the Deluxe Inn Motel, 2801 Magnolia Ave., to visit a friend. While he was there, several more men showed up.
All of them were very drunk by when they started arguing, the Sewell stated. That's when at least one of the men became violent. Sewell was hit in the face with a beer bottle and stabbed in the left side of his torso.
He managed to flee the hotel room and made it across the street where he called for help. Sewell was taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. He's since been treated and released.
Sewell was able to tell the officers who stabbed him, but told THP repeatedly that he would not press charges.
Police searched the area around where the attack happened, but didn't find anyone. They are now trying to work up accurate descriptions of the suspects.
