Crimetracker: Man pleads guilty to sexually abusing infant

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Wartburg man entered a guilty plea Thursday morning in federal court to sex crimes involving an infant.

Tommy Lee Waugh, 29, faces 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to one county of production of child pornography and violating the federal sex offender registry.

Authorities got a tip about somebody distributing pictures showing a baby being sexually abused. Investigators traced those images to Waugh.

According to the TBI's Sexual Offender registry, Waugh was convicted of sexual exploitation of a minor in 2009 and statutory rape in 2010.
