ALCOA, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Blount County Sheriff's Office has charged 43-year-old Paula Silver after they say she shot at Alcoa Police.
It happened at the Airport Hilton Hotel around 5:00 PM on Sunday.
Deputies say law enforcement were notified to be on the lookout for a suicidal woman earlier in the day.
Alcoa Police found her car in the parking lot of the hotel and notified Airport Police.
When they arrived, deputies say the woman fired one shot inside the room, followed by another shot at officers who were standing in the hallway.
The bullet went through the door and into a room across the hall. There were no guests in that room.
After a short time, the woman surrendered.
No one was injured. The unidentified woman is now in the Blount County Detention Facility.
Silver is charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of felony reckless endangerment. She is being held on bonds totaling $15,500 pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court on January 31st.
