KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A woman was rushed to the hospital early Friday morning after she was shot while still in her car in front of a north Knoxville apartment complex, according to the Knoxville Police Dept. They added her injuries were non-life threatening.
A KPD spokesperson said the victim, who has not been identified, was shot in front of the Ridgebrook Apts. around 12:30 a.m. The bullet apparently went through the rear, driver's side door and struck her in the back.
No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is still ongoing.
