LONDON, Ky. (WVLT) -- A Crossville man is accused of getting violent during his second arrest in two days.
The Laurel County Sheriff's Office was called to a home on N. Stewart Road Wednesday around 6:40 p.m. to deal with a man allegedly making threats.
Deputies say 30-year-old James Shaffer began fighting with them when they arrived. They say he hit one deputy in the chin and kicked him in the chest and arms several times.
Investigators say Shaffer was extremely under the influence.
He was charged with disorderly conduct, first degree; resisting arrest; menacing; public intoxication – controlled substances; and assault third-degree – victim is a police officer.
Shaffer was arrested the night before in the same area for public intoxication – controlled substances.
