RENO, Nev. (WVLT) - A Crossville man is in police custody in Nevada after three years on the run.
William Douglas Wynn, 71, was charged with vehicular homicide from 2011. Officers say he was drunk and hit another car killing the person inside.
Wynn has been on the run since then.
He traveled from Cumberland County to Reno, Nevada, more than 2,300 hundred miles.
His run from the law ended Wednesday afternoon.
Police arrested Wynn after a five hour standoff at a hotel in downtown Reno.
They say he had barricaded himself inside one of the rooms.
When officers tried to serve an arrest warrant, he refused to come out.
They say Wynn had checked in under another name and different date of birth, but his identity was later confirmed.
Officers say Wynn had a gun, but surrendered without incident.
after the lengthy standoff, wynn came out of the room and was arrested.
