Detectives nab suspected burglars track stolen iPad

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A stolen iPad leads detectives right to a suspected burglar's doorstep. The Sevier Co. Sheriff's Office said they were able to ping the tablet computer and, and using its GPS, track the device to a Pigeon Forge apartment.

Officers noticed the iPad while talking to the occupant, Julio Pascual, who then took off out of the back door of the home. He was later found in a brush pile about a block away.

Pascual was taken to the Sevier Co. Jail where he was charged with Aggravated Burglary, Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic, and Evading Arrest. Pascual was also determined to be an illegal immigrant and notified U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The Sevier Co. Sheriff's Office believes he broke into a rental cabin on Saturday and, in addition to the iPad, took some personal items as well.
