Escaped inmates captured in Pigeon Forge

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Sevier Co. Sheriffs arrested two of the three escaped Sevier Co. inmates at the River Lodge South Motel in Pigeon Forge Sunday morning.

24-year-old Roy Herron and 37-year-old Tommy Kitts were in the hotel room when officers breached the door at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

The third inmate, 45-year-old Calvin McMahan is still on the run.

The three inmates ecaped the Sevier Co. Minimum Security Jail Annex in Sevierville on Dec. 8th after overpowering a guard and climbing a security fence.
