CLINTON, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A former Clinton police officer, who was previously indicted on a charge of statutory rape, faces an additional count of Possession of a Scheduled Drug, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced on Tuesday.

The charge stems from the discovery of an illegal stash of pills that agents found while investigating the statutory rape allegation against Randall Chisum. He was indicted on the drug charge on November 1 and booked into Anderson Co. Jail.

Chisum, 29, was being investigated after he allegedly had inappropriate contact with a 17 year-old girl. The investigation began in May 2011 and Chisum was indicted in June.
