Former Union Co. deputy in custody for domestic assault

MAYNARDVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A former Union Co. Sheriff's Deputy is in custody facing charges of aggravated domestic assault.

Kelly Yount was taken to the Union Co. Jail under $10,000 bond.

Back in Aug., Yount was involved in a shooting at a Red Roof hotel in Knoxville in which he claimed to be robbed, and then he shot at his attackers as they drove away.

Yount was then fired from the Union Co. Sheriff's Dept. in Oct.
