FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) -- A hearing officer has recommended that a Fort Campbell soldier charged with killing his ex-wife and another woman face a general court-martial.

A statement from the Army post on the Kentucky-Tennessee line says a trial date for Sgt. Brent Burke to face charges of murder has been set for Feb. 6, 2012.

Burke is charged in the 2007 shooting deaths of Tracy Burke and her former mother-in-law, Karen Comer, at Comer's home in central Kentucky. He has maintained his innocence.

The Army charged Burke in the shootings after civilian authorities in Hardin County dismissed charges against him due to four mistrials.
