MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WVLT) -- An assistant principal in Hamblen Co. has resigned amid accusations of inappropriate conduct with a student. Nathan Buice had been suspended since last week before resigning on Tuesday, according to Director of Hamblen County Schools Dr. Dale Lynch.

Buice was accused by a former student of inappropriate touching more than seven years ago. Lynch added that further investigations have turned up other concerning behavior, including gifts to other students.

Lynch also said he is turning over the results of the investigation to the state school board.
