SNEEDVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Authorities now believe half of the men who escaped from Hawkins Co. Jail have been rounded up now that officials say they have captured Buster Lee Carpenter in Morristown.
Carpenter was reportedly captured after a brief chase that started in Bean Station Thursday morning. Authorities there notified Morristown police they had spotted a truck they believed was connected to Carpenter and began pursuing him.
The chase headed toward Morristown where Carpenter finally stopped at a dead end on Taft St. He then got out of the truck and tried running away, but was captured and returned to Bean Station where he faces charges as well.
Shortly before midnight Wednesday night, investigators found Travis Livesay at a home on Clinch Valley Rd., near the Hawkins/ Hancock Co. line.
