PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Pigeon Forge man was arrested in connection with the gunpoint robbery of a handicapped man in his home, who was allegedly shot with a taser during the robbery, Sevier Co. Sheriff Ron Seals announced.
According to Seals, Kenny Lee Phillips, 48, was arrested in his home, 3108 Pickle St., in Pigeon Forge, early Wednesday morning. The sheriff added that Phillips had previously threatened to shoot anyone who came to his home.
He and another man allegedly broke in to the home, 319 Ramset Way, off Newport Hwy., around 10:40 p.m. on Tuesday.
Authorities said they found the victim's medications and a large amount of cash on Phillips. He was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Kidnapping. is bond was set at $500,000 and he's set to appear in court on October 24.
