LOUDON Co., Tenn. (WVLT) -- Authorities have charged a North Carolina man following a high speed chase that spanned two counties and landed four people in the hospital early Monday morning.

Twenty-four year-old Aaron Foster, of West Jefferson, N.C., reportedly flew by an officer on Interstate 40 near Lovell Road at over 100 mph around 5:00 a.m. Authorities say Foster's van was swerving all over the road.

Foster refused to pull over and led police on a chase that didn't end until they had reached the I-40/I-75 split in Loudon Co. when his van rear-ended a car with four people inside near mile marker 75.

THP says one person was transported to UT Medical Center while the three others were taken to another hospital, some with possibly serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Two people are still in the hospital: Mary Shepherd is in serious condition and Andrew Shepherd is in stable condition. Both are at UT Medical Center.

Foster has been charged with Felony Evading, Reckless Endangerment, Driving on a Revoked License, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and Vehicular Assault, which contains a DUI.
