Man charged for starting fire at neighbor's house

RUTLEDGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Police took a man into custody they say started a fire inside a neighbor's home.

23-year-old Brandon Ramsey is charged with arson and aggravated burglary after he confessed to starting the house fire at 193 Dunville Gap Rd in Rutledge. Ramsey lives just down the street.

Ramsey told police he broke into the home and then set two mattresses on fire.

Officers also say the Rutledge Fire Department's investigation of the fire was consistent with Ramsey's confession.
