Toddler found unresponsive in west Knoxville apt. dies

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- UPDATE: Eighteen month-old Brooklyn Stinnett found who was found unresponsive at the Big Oak Apartments, 3807 Middlebrook Pike, on Tuesday has died, Knoxville Police announced Friday.

Stinnett had been rushed to UT Medical Center after officers and emergency personnel responded to reports that she was unresponsive and not breathing shortly before 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

She was pronounced dead at 12:45 p.m. Thursday.

The toddler's body is being sent to the Knox County Coroner for an autopsy. Evidence from the investigation will be presented to the district attorney's office for review and determination of possible charges.

    if you want to be a motherr you should not kill your kids and i want brooklyn to have justice cause my brother used to change brooklyns diapers when she was really little and now brittany went that danny kid and now poor brooklyn is dead she deserves justice

    This is a sad story. I am sorry for those who are mourning this loss. I hope the truth about this case is found out and if there is foul play those involved are held responsible to the full ability of the law. If this is a child abuse case I hope there is a swift and PAINFUL justice.
