Jackson doctor acquitted of sexual battery charges

JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) -- A Jackson doctor has been acquitted of sexual battery charges.

The Jackson Sun reports Ernest Antwi was found not quilty Wednesday of the two sexual battery charges and also all lesser charges, including attempted sexual battery.

Antwi is an endocrinologist. He treats conditions that include thyroid diseases and metabolic disorders.

The doctor was also acquitted of a sexual battery charge earlier this year.

That case was brought by a 25-year-old woman who said Antwi inappropriately touched her last year while she was translating for a family member who was one of Antwi's patients.
