KPD charges man with attempted stabbing outside Scottish Inn

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville police have charged a Jacksboro man with two counts of Aggravated Assault, claiming he tried to stab someone outside the Scottish Inn late Wednesday evening.

According to police, Henry F. Carmley and two other people were arguing outside the hotel shortly after nine o'clock. The argument apparently stemmed from something that happened the previous day.

As the argument got more heated, police said, Carmley pulled out a knife and tried to stab both victims. Neither of the them needed any medical attention and police were able to find a arrest Carmley shortly thereafter.
