CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Clarksville say they're working with Mount Juliet Police after a man with a similar appearance tried to kidnap teenage girls in both cities.
The latter attempt occurred Friday in Mount Juliet and the suspect has similarities to one who tried to abduct a girl July 24 in Clarksville, according to The Leaf-Chronicle. Both incidents occurred in discount store parking lots.
Both reported kidnapping attempts involve a man between 40 and 50 years old with red hair, a goatee and a stocky build. In both cases, the suspect was driving a white extended cab pickup truck.
Police say in both cases, the kidnapper forced girls into the truck cab, but both managed to escape.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Mount Juliet or Clarksville police.
