At about 5:30 p.m. Friday evening, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a domestic dispute involving a knife at the apartment complex located at the 1000 block of E. Hill Ave.
Upon arrival, officers located a female with cuts on her hand. According to the female, she and her boyfriend were arguing when he became violent. They were involved in a physical fight in the bedroom for a brief period of time. He then left the bedroom. She said that she closed the bedroom door, but he eventually returned with a kitchen knife and forced the door open. She said that she took the knife from him and he left the room again.
According to the female, the male returned to the room again with another kitchen knife. At this point, they each had a kitchen knife and they continued to argue. When he tried to leave, the female said that she followed him outside and stabbed a tire on his vehicle to prevent him from leaving. He fled in the vehicle despite the damaged tire.
The male could not be located.
Later that evening, officers responded to a stabbing call at Fort Sanders Hospital. Upon arrival, officers located the male from the domestic dispute.
He advised that earlier, his girlfriend became angry because he would not give her his prescription pain medication. He said that she fought with him in his bedroom at his apartment. She left the room, returned with two kitchen knives and cut his right arm and hand.
As he fled from the apartment, she chased him. He said he ran to his vehicle and tried to escape, but she stabbed one of his tires before he could leave. He drove away with the flat tire and parked his car at his brother's home on Dandridge Ave. He then went to the hospital in another vehicle.
When he left the hospital, he contacted police again. This time he reported that upon return to his brother's home, he found that the windows in his vehicle were broken.
