KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Three people were arrested following a raid on an East Knoxville home early Thursday evening. Knoxville Police say they got the search warrant after making several controlled cocaine purchases there.
A search of the home turned up 83 grams of crack cocaine and another 57 grams of powdered cocaine as well as a couple of handguns and an AK-style rifle, according to police. Officers also found $4,657, five cell phones, and other paraphernalia.
They arrested Jeffrey Stanley Mitchell on multiple drug and weapons counts, while another resident, Jalisa Ross, was charged with violating a drug free school zone. Anthony Mitchell was taken into custody as well because of two outstanding warrants.
Evidence gathered at the scene are also leading officers to believe the home, 2544 Woodbine Ave., was being used as a fencing operation. They reportedly found a room filled with brand new clothing, speakers, and other items. A brand new in-the-box home theater system, pressure sprayer, and a speaker system were among other items confiscated.
A Knoxville Police spokesperson added that the suspects could face federal charges.
