Knoxville man sentenced to 97 months for child porn

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Knoxville man has been sentenced to serve 97 months in prison for distributing and possessing child pornography.

Investigators say they found approximately 576 images on 37-year-old James Hicks' computer.

He entered a guilty plea in February.

Upon his release from prison, Hicks will be on supervised release for a period of five years and for the rest of his life will be required to register as a sex offender wherever he lives, works, or attends school.
