KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- An suspected robber was caught early Tuesday morning after police respond to an alarm call at the Future Learning Center, 1310 Hollywood Rd., according to a Knoxville Police Dept. spokesperson.
Patrick Barnes, 20, was charged with two counts of Burglary and one count of evading arrest. He is being held on $11,500 bond.
Authorities believe Barnes was also behind a burglary at the Leading Lyons After School about a block away.
Barnes reportedly took off running when a KPD officer responded to the learning center around 2:15 a.m. Officers established a perimeter and called in a K-9 unit. Barnes was captured a short time later on Papermill Rd.
The KPD spokesperson said they found blood on the bags containing stolen property from each location and on broken windows at both building. When he was caught, Barnes was bleeding from his hands and a knoee and had a scrape on his back.
