Man accused of exposing himself to 11-year-old girl in Kroger arrested

HARRIMAN, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Harriman police have arrested a 53-year-old man accused of exposing himself to an 11-year-old girl inside a Kroger supermarket earlier this week.

Investigators say James Tipton Lands is the man seen in surveillance pictures they released Friday,

Police say it happened around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. They say the girl ducked under his arm and ran up the aisle to her parents, and the man took off.

Lands was taken to the Roane County Jail. Officers say the arrest was made possible by the numerous anonymous tips we received from the public after his photo was released to the public.
