Authorities identify man caught trying to rob downtown bank

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville Police and the FBI nabbed a man who they say tried to rob a downtown Knoxville bank early Wednesday afternoon.

Thirty year-old Ronald Samuel Rosenbaum, of Knoxville, was charged with Attempted Robbery. He is being held on $45,000 bond.

Officials said the Rosenbaum went into the Community South Bank on 625 S. Gay Street and said he was robbing the bank. They added that the man did not have a weapon and actually stayed at the bank long enough for authorities to get there and capture him.
