Man charged with DUI after crash

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - One man is being charged with driving under the influence after a crash sends three people to the hospital.

The wreck happened close to noon Tuesday on Alberta Drive at Maynardville Pike in South Knoxville.

21-year-old Larry Moore was driving a Chevy pick-up truck and tried to pass another vehicle when he hit a Ford Explorer head-on.

60-year-old Larry Brown was driving the Explorer with one passenger, 65-year-old Terry Brown. All 3 had to be taken to the hospital.

Moore faces charges for passing in a no passing zone, driving without insurance, and DUI.
