CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- A Chattanooga man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison in his wife's beating death.
The plea bargain was approved Wednesday, allowing 28-year-old John Bradley Wiser to plead guilty to second-degree murder, simple assault and domestic assault in the beating and strangulation death of his wife Shannon Wiser in front of her two young sons. The sentence does not allow parole, according to WTVC-TV.
A medical examiner determined Shannon Wiser died of blows to her head and neck in the September 2010 attack in her home.
The couple had been married for 7 years.
