McMinn County woman accused of stealing ambulance

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Teri Efaw, 41, is accused of breaking into the Englewood Fire Station Saturday morning and speeding away in an ambulance.

Authorities say no one was injured, and it wasn't long until Efaw was arrested without incident.

Efaw allegedly told authorities she was pregnant and needed to get to the hospital as soon as possible.

The McMinn County Sheriff's Department confirms Efaw is charged with criminal trespassing, theft, and vandalism.

Efaw is being held on an $11,000 bond.
