MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- The former chief financial officer of a Memphis pump re-manufacturer has been charged with the theft of nearly $1.2 million from the business.
Forty-six-year-old Timothy Mask, of Corinth, Miss., was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Shelby County Jail, according to The Commercial Appeal.
On May 5, Mask abruptly resigned from his position at Flint Hydrostatics, Inc., after 25 years. That move came three days after Flint began an examination of the firm's books that found suspicious company checks written to Mask and the company's janitor, according to court documents.
The documents allege the embezzlement spanned a dozen years.
Jail records do not indicate whether Mask has hired an attorney.
