ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A deputy from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office is facing charges in Roane County for allegedly beating his girlfriend.
Police say 21-year-old Jacob Summers and his girlfriend went out drinking April 5.
On their way home, police say Summers took her phone and got upset when he saw text messages from other men.
The girlfriend told police that Summers continuously pulled the emergency brake while she was driving. When she told him to stop, police say she told them he punched her in the face.
When they got home, Summers is accused of choking her and punching her again.
