FENTRESS CO., Tenn. (WVLT) -- More than 3,000 marijuana plants were seized during a recent search operation in Fentress Co., the Governor's Task Force on Marijuana Education announced on Thursday. The plants were strewn across approximately 50 fields.
This year's number was a far cry from the nearly 19,000 plants seized last year. In 2010, Fentress Co. was the third biggest producer in the state, the agency said.
If anyone has information on marijuana cultivation, they are asked to call the Governor's Task Force at 1-800-248-WEED (9333).
