Morristown Woman Pleads Guilty

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT/AP) -- A Morristown woman has pleaded guilty in a murder for hire plot in which she tried to have her husband killed, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced.

Karla Charneal Ball was charged with one count of solicitation of first degree murder after she reportedly met with an undercover agent in a Tractor Supply parking lot in Jefferson City back in March. She has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

Officials said she offered the agent documents for a car and promised him another car after her husband, Fred Ball.
