The woman and boyfriend charged with murdering the woman's five year-old son in Rhea County went before a judge Friday morning to ask for bond, a request the judge formally denied.
According to Jeff Knight, a Special Projects Officer with the Rhea County Sheriff's Department, Jessica Robbins and her boyfriend Bradley Adcox appeared before Judge James McKenzie for their bond hearing. Knight said Judge McKenzie denied them bond.
The pair is charged with killing Robbins' 5 year-old son, Landon Robbins, after Landon was found dead inside the couple's Rhea County home with multiple blunt force trauma.
Robbins and Adcox will now go before Judge McKenzie again on September 18th for their preliminary hearing, where the charges against them will be formally read to them, and they will enter their pleas.
Knight also corrected information previously given on Jessica Robbins. WVLT News was originally told Jessica Robbins is a 29 year-old woman. Robbins is actually 24 years-old.
