MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A thirty year-old Newport man has been arrested on child pornography charges following a months long investigation by the Morristown Police Department with the help of the Newport Police Dept., authorities announced on Friday.
James Holbrook, 30, was arrested in his home and charged with one count each Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Sexual Exploitation of a minor. He is being held in the Cocke Co. Jail on $75,000 bond and could face eight to thirty years for each charge.
Authorities reportedly found over three hundred images and six videos on his computer and confiscated nearly 500 more pictures and eleven DVD's
MPD Chief Roger Overholt stated, “I am proud of the work our investigator has done and of the partnerships we have developed. Being a part of the Tennessee Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force allows us to reach beyond our jurisdiction to help investigate and prosecute these types of crimes”.
