HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities have found no evidence to support criminal charges in the death of a Tennessee woman who fell from a golf cart earlier this month near Hilton Head island.

The Island Packet of Hilton Head reports 37-year-old Anita Kay Bergeson of Knoxville, Tenn., was a passenger in the golf cart driven by her boyfriend, 30-year Alan Watts of Maryville, Tenn.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Department found the woman had her feet propped on the dash and a beer in her hand when her boyfriend jerked the cart into a turn.

The woman died of a head injury in the June 4 accident.

Deputies say they found nothing indicating Watts was speeding or driving recklessly.
