One arrested for robbery that caused Karns lockdown

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Police have arrested the man accused of stealing narcotics from the Walgreens on Oak Ridge Hwy. Karns Elementary, Middle, and High Schools were all shut down shortly after the drug store was robbed while police tried to find the suspect.

Brandon Brent Bowling was found Tuesday morning at a home on Meredith Street, according to the Knox Co. Sheriff's Office. He was arrested without incident and is charged with Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Kidnapping, and three counts of Aggravated Assault.

Bowling is accused of kidnapping the store manager when he allegedly threatened to kill the store manager as he made the manager walk to the front of the store with him.

He has previously been convicted of Aggravated Burglary, Burglary, and Theft.
