KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two people were arrested following a burglary at a home on Washington Ave. late Tuesday night. Officers responded to the home shortly after 10:00 p.m. and were able to get a description of the suspects and found out which way they were heading.
Police said Ronald Irvin Winchester, 39, and Nancy Cheek, 43, are charged with Aggravated Burglary and Theft. Each are held on $12,500 bond.
According to a police spokesperson, they found the suspects walking along Washington Ave. near Monroe. After detaining them, police found the stolen item, a television, nearby. Washington originally told police he had nothing to do with the robbery, the spokesperson continued, before officers reportedly found the T.V.'s remote in his pocket.
