Pet crematory owner Cameo Farr makes court appearance

Pet crematory owner Cameo Farr made her initial court appearance Monday.

The Morgan County native was assigned a public defender and will be back in court in September.

In September 2013, investigators found dozens of dead dogs and cats on her property in Morgan County.

Farr was indicted in May on charges of unlawfully storing or containerizing hazardous waste, one count of unlawfully and knowingly making false material statements in records, and three counts of unlawfully accepting solid waste for disposal in a landfill without a permit.
