KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville police are questioning a man in connection with a deadly shooting Wednesday night on North Park Blvd.
Investigators stopped a white SUV they believe was used in the shooting.
Police say they have arrested 25-year-old Ramond Martez Jackson on charges unrelated to the shooting.
Jackson was charged with drug possession, driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance. His bond is set at $5,500.
Police say they are continuing to review evidence and conduct interviews.
A man killed in a North Knoxville shooting has been identified as 24-year-old Dearies Marcel George.
According to reports, Terry Mack, Sr., was shot more than once after being confronted inside his residence by at least two males.
During the confrontation, police say Mack fired at least one time, hitting one of the suspects. The suspect was dead on the scene.
Mack was transported to UT Medical Center with non life threatening injuries.
Thursday evening before 5 p.m., officers say they stopped a white SUV they believed may have been involved in the shooting. They brought a man in for questioning, but no charges have been filed at this time.
The incident happened on North Park Boulevard.
