KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Police say a convicted felon pulled a gun when two officers chased him after they saw a drug transaction early Saturday in Western Heights.
KPD says the two officers chased 40-year-old George Marsh, of Knoxville, to a home where he started fighting with them. He pulled a loaded .38 revolver from his pocket.
They were able to get the gun away from him, but they say he then started trying to grab their weapons.
When they finally had him in handcuffs, the officers say they found more than three grams of crack cocaine.
Marsh was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault on an Officer, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony, Violation of Drug Free School Zone, Evading Arrest, and Resisting Stop – Frisk – Halt.
Marsh already has two felony drug convictions.
The two officers were treated for minor injuries.
