SPEEDWELL, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two people were killed when an oncoming car crossed the center-line and collided with their SUV head-on last Saturday, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Ronald and Wilma McNew, of Speedwell, were heading east on Highway 63 and were about a tenth of a mile away from Quarry Rd. when a Chevrolet Sedan, driven by David Crumley reportedly crossed the median and hit them. A third vehicle, driven by 28 year-old Ashley Fultz, then clipped the rear of the McNew's SUV and hit Crumley's car.

Both Ronald and Wilma McNew died in the collision. Crumley, 46, was injured in wreck. Police said he had been drinking prior to the wreck and criminal charges are pending.
